New Website!

I have a fun new blogsite- www.emilyschnickphotography.com! I am so happy to move somewhere new. This new blogsite allows me to do everything a traditional website would - client ordering, galleries, etc. I will not be updating this blog anymore, so remember to update your bookmarks!

Thank you to everyone who has helped me not only to build this new site technically, but to those who have allowed me to photograph your families! I am truly honored.

The Truth about Cats and Dogs

they sleep in your bed while you are at work :)

This is a little 'day in the life' of my furbabies.

Quincy is the biggest sap.

busted.

Begging for my lunch.

I gave him a little peanut butter.

I don't bother cleaning the window anymore.

Meet Lulu (or as Anna calls her - Moo Moo). We just rescued her from the humane society about a month ago. We are her 4th home. She is a sweetheart, I don't know how anyone could abandon her.

This is the life.

Challenge #4

'Water'

I cheated again this week and picked a photo I took last summer. This was taken on Lake Osakis.

Oh summer how I miss you!

This a more realistic view of MN waters right now:

2010 Challenge #3

'Show us your hometown'

Sure I could go take a picture of the St. Paul skyline, which I do find beautiful in its own way, but my real 'hometown' is 4 hours north.

This was taken last July at the Hull Rust mine in Hibbing.

2010 Challenge #2

As you can tell, I am a little behind, being it's now 4 weeks into January already. For week 2 the topic is 'Introduction of Yourself.'

Coffee and work.
Sure the family ranks higher, but at the moment I was high on caffeine and crazy busy with work (still am, but I secretly like it this way :).

2010 Challenge #1

I am a part of an online community of awesome photographers. They inspire and challenge me daily. For 2010, we are doing weekly challenge. This involves taking random pictures that get the creative vibes flowing.

For week 1 the topic is 'Free-for-all.' Let me tell you this wasn't easy for me. I have to come up with something that is meaningful to me? Easy- that is my Anna, but getting her to actually let me take a picture = the challenge.

So here is the product. Two year old 'tude and all :) But, I do have to say I absolutely love the new blue background!

If you are into photography as much as I am, join in! You don't need a big honkin' camera! Point and Shoots are awesome at capturing life moments!

Feel free to leave a comment or message me if you wish to share your progress!

Ask me anything!

I discovered this fun new site today, totally addicting!

New Referral Program

Many times we meet new clients after they have heard about us from one of our fabulous existing clients. We have created our referral program as a way of saying thank you to such clients. Prior to our session, let us know who referred you.

For each NEW client referred to us, you and your friend will each earn a $25 print credit. Referral credits will only be issued to a client’s account after the new client has booked and held their session.
P.S. Other new changes coming, including a new website! So exciting, stay tuned!

Sweetness

Miss Ava was such a beautiful little model today! She was more interested in posing than sleeping, but patience prevailed, and these sleepy pictures are so precious.

This little one's daddy is serving our country in Iraq (thank you!).
Thank you 'W' family!

Your new addition is beautiful.

Happy New Year!

I know, I am a few days late! I want to thank you all for making 2009 so great! I am excited for 2010 and everything a new year brings. I'm planning on doing more fun things on this blog - sneak peeks, new products, specials, giveaways and contests!

Hope you all had a great holiday season. Because I always have pictures, I thought I'd share a few pictures of my Anna with her gift from Santa, a new Thomas the train set!

My Personal Christmas Card

I've had these printed, addressed, and ready to hit the mailbox for about a month now. It took all I had to wait until December to send! These are folded cards and I just loved them.
